Long-Term Blood Pressure Changes and Influencing Factors in the Offspring of Assisted Reproductive Technology
ART(assisted reproductive technology)has become more widespread since 1978,and there has always attention about the safety of this technology, raising concerns about the health and development of children conceived through ART.Most current studies have found an increased risk of elevated blood pressure in ART offspring, which may be related to adverse perinatal outcomes such as preterm birth, fetal growth restric-tion,increased incidence of placental insufficiency, alterations in organ structure and function, and posterior epi-genetic changes, and leads to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease in adulthood. This article summarizes the relevant literature and reviews the long-term blood pressure changes, influencing factors and possible mecha-nisms of ART offspring.
