Application of the"Medicine+X"Teaching Model in Obstetrics and Gynecology Postgraduate Education Under the Background of New Medical Science
Traditional medical teaching models are often discipline-centered,which makes it difficult to ad-dress the complexity and diversity of modern medical science. In the context of the New Medical Science, cultivating interdisciplinary medical professionals has become a core goal of medical education reform. To ad-dress this challenge, this study explores the application of the"Medicine+X"teaching model in obstetrics and gynecology graduate education.By integrating knowledge from disciplines such as management, law, sociology, public health, engineering, materials science, basic medicine, statistics, digital media, and artificial intelligence,a curriculum framework suitable for obstetrics and gynecology education has been designed. This framework incorporates demand-oriented research, systematic curriculum content design,in-novative teaching methods,a comprehensive evaluation model, and a continuous feedback mechanism.Preliminary investigation identified students'needs in clinical skills, managerial abilities, and legal knowledge. The curriculum is divided into modules of medical humanities, medical engineering, and medical theory, each module covering core knowledge and practical applications of relevant disciplines. The cur-riculum consists of foundational, applied, and integrated courses, combined with clinical internships and interdisciplinary projects to enhance students'overall capabilities and practical skills. The evaluation model uses multidimensional assessment criteria, practical assessment, case study, and innovative evaluation methods. The curriculum design effectively can promote interdisciplinary integration and innovation,provid-ing practical experience and reference for interdisciplinary integration in medical education. The"Medicine+X"model developments can be applied in more medical fields and disciplines, further enhancing teaching interactivity and practicality.
