Meta-analysis of the Effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education in Medical Immunology
This meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of ideological and political education in medical im-munology.We searched for literature from the Chinese databases on ideological and political education in medical immunology courses and included a total of 34 articles involving 8,630 study subjects.The meta-analysis using CMA software showed that college students'satisfaction with the ideological and political education mode in medical immunology courses was significantly higher than that of the traditional method teaching group(OR=4.26,95%CI:1.98-9.16).Students'academic performance in the ideological and political education mode group was significantly better than that of the traditional method teaching group(SMD=1.33,95%CI:0.57-2.10).There were 92.1%of the students who believed that the ideological and political education mode could enhance their interest in learning the courses,which was higher than that of the traditional method teaching group(OR=7.44,95%CI:1.61-34.5).87.9%of the students believed that the ideological and political education mode improved their mastery of professional knowledge(OR=2.27,95%CI:0.82-6.23).There were 87.9%(95%CI:84.9%-90.3%)of the students who believed that the ideological and political education mode improved their abilities in creativity,thinking,analysis,problem-solving,autonomous learning,and teamwork.In addition,90.0%(95%CI:85.2%-93.4%)of the students believed that the new education mode could help the cultivation of national sentiment,lofty ideals and beliefs,ethical and moral awareness,and professionalism.The teaching mode of integration of ideological and political elements into medical immunology could significantly improve students'comprehensive quality,promote the synergistic effect of knowledge learning and ideological and political education was finished in the same direction.
