The increasing frequency of Public Health Emergency of International Concern,as defined by the World Health Organization, has drawn global attention. In responding to such emergencies, emergency language plays a crucial role that cannot be replaced by professional technologies or specialized equipment. It is indispensable in the provision of medical services, distribution of supplies, dissemination of related informa-tion,data exchange and sharing, implementation of administrative directives, and public psychological reas-surance.Emergency language has become one of the core factors influencing the effectiveness of responses to public health emergencies of international concern. However, the cultivation of emergency language talents remains underdeveloped globally, especially in the systematic research and practice of differentiated training for medical and foreign language students.Based on years of experience in medical English education, this paper proposes a differentiated training framework for the cultivation of emergency language talents in the medical and healthcare field. This framework aims to provide medical and foreign language students with core knowledge,machine-aided translation skills, and emergency language coordination abilities tailored to their professional needs. It is hoped that through meticulous curriculum design, this framework can be gradu-ally integrated into the foreign language education of relevant majors at medical schools and universities.Over time, this will refine the foundational framework for training emergency medical language talents, establish a long-term operational mechanism and implementation plan, cultivate practical emergency language profes-sionals for medical and healthcare emergency management, and promote the institutional development of national emergency language services.
