Content determination of chlorogenic acid in Kangrong Syrup by HPLC
Objective To develop an HPLC method for determination of the content of chlorogenic acid in Kangrong Syrup. Method The separation was performed on a Kromasil C18 column (250 mm×4. 6 mm,5 μm) with methanol-water-acetic acid (15 ∶ 85 ∶ 0. 5) as mobile phase and the wavelength of UV detector was 328 nm. The flow rate was 1.0 mL · min-1. Result Chlorogenic acid in extracts was well separated,and the relationship of injection amount and peak area was linear ( r =0. 999 9) within the range of 0. 2461. 968 μg. The average recovery was 97. 1 % ( n = 6) with RSD 0. 99%. Conclusion The method is simple, rapid and accurate. It can be suitable for quality control of Kangrong Syrup.
