Effects of Xiyanping combined with salbutamol on asthma and T helper cell 2/T helper cell 17 expression in children
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of Xiyanping combined with salbutamol in the treatment of children with asthma and its impacts on the expression of T helper cell(Th)2/Th17 in children's peripheral blood.Methods Seventy-six children with asthma who came to our hospital for treatment were gathered and grouped into control group(n=38,conventional treatment com-bined with albuterol)and research group(n=38,added Xiyanping on the basis of the control group).The clinical efficacy,lung func-tion and recurrence rate were compared,and the expression of Th2 and Th17 in peripheral blood and circulating endothelial cell(CEC)and leukotriene C4(LTC4)were detected.Results The total effective rate of the research group was 92.11%(35/38),which was higher than that of the control group[71.05%(27/38)](χ2=5.604,P=0.018).The levels of peripheral blood Th2,Th17 cells,serum interleukin(IL)-4,IL-17,the levels of CEC and LTC4 were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above indexes in the research group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The test results of pulmonary function indicators[forced expiratory volume in first second(FEV1),FEV1/forced vital capacity(FVC),peak expiratory flow(PEF),and peak expiratory flow rate(PEFR)]in the 2 groups were increased after treatment(P<0.05),and the test results of lung function in-dexes in the research group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After 24 weeks of follow-up,the recurrence rate of the research group was 7.89%(3/38),which was lower than that of the control group[26.32%(10/38)](χ2=4.547,P=0.033).Conclusion Xiyanping combined with salbutamol can improve the pulmonary function and immune system imbalance in children with asthma,and reduce the levels of CEC and LTC4.The clinical healing efficacy is obvious,and the recurrence rate is low.
