Research progress in external drug treatment of vitiligo
Objective To summarize the research progress in external drug treatment of vitiligo in recent years.Methods By reviewing the literature published at home and abroad in recent years,the mechanism of action,therapeutic efficacy and adverse reactions of external agents for the treatment of vitiligo were summarized.Results Topical corticosteroids,topical calcineurin inhibitors,vitamin D derivatives,5-fluorouracil,prostaglandin F2α derivatives,basic fibroblast growth factor derived peptide,and Janus kinase(JAK)inhibitors were effective in the treatment of vitiligo,while the efficacy of pseudo-catalase/superoxide dismutase(PSD)and metho-trexate in the treatment of vitiligo was not sure.Conclusion By reviewing the external agents for the treatment of vitiligo,it provides guidance for the development of new treatment methods and new drugs in the future.
