Analysis of the quality research progress of Forsythiae fructus from different producing areas
Objective To summarize the current research status of Forsythiae fructus constituents from different producing areas.Methods By collecting research literature on the main chemical components of F.fructus from different regions,data collection and comparison were conducted on the content of the main chemical components(total volatile oil,forsythia glycoside A,forsythia glycoside B,forsythin,trace elements sodium(Na),manganese(Mn),zinc(Zn),iron(Fe),magnesium(Mg),potassium(K),calcium(Ca),chromium(Cr),germanium(Ge),selenium(Se),and heavy metals such as lead(Pb),cadmium(Cd),arsenic(As),mercury(Hg),copper(Cu)in F.fructus from different regions.Results From the statistical analysis results,the average mass-fraction of volatile oil in samples from Shaanxi,Hubei,and Anhui was about 1.7%,higher than that from other areas.The contents of forsythia glycoside A in samples from He'nan,Shaanxi,and Shanxi were 5.47%,4.90%,and 4.83%,respectively.The contents of forsythia glycoside B in samples from Shanxi F.fructus was the highest.F.fructus from Shanxi has a significant advantage in trace elements.The mass-fractions of Mn,Fe,Mg,K,Ca,Cr,Ge,and Se in the samples from Yuncheng,Taiyuan,Linfen,and Jinzhong of Shanxi were higher than from other areas,while Na and Zn in the samples from Sanmenxia of He'nan and Handan of Hebei were higher than that from other areas.The heavy metal content of F.fructus did not exceed the standard in all producing areas.Conclusion Shanxi,He'nan,Shaanxi,and Hebei,as the main production areas of F.fructus,generally have higher mass-fractions of various chemical constituents than other production areas,resulting in better quality.This article provides data support for conducting research on the common and individual characteristics of F.fructus from different producing areas,and provides reference for the quality control of F.fructus from different producing areas.
