Efficacy of ambroxol combined with budesonide in the treatment of neonatal pneumonia
Objective To analyze the efficacy of ambroxol combined with budesonide on neonatal pneumonia(PN).Methods 119 newborns with PN were randomly selected and divided into observation group(59 cases)and control group(60 cases)by random number table method. The children in the control group were treated with budesonide single-drug atomization treatment, while the observation group was combined with ambroxol intravenous infusion on this basis. The therapeutic efficacy, disappearance time of clinical symptoms, adverse reactions and expression levels of peripheral blood indicators were compared between the 2 groups. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the recurrence rate 6 months after treatment was lower than that in the control group, the disappearance time of fever, cough, asthma and hospital stay were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the 2 groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the serum interferon-γ(IFN-γ),glutathione oxidase(GSH-PX),superoxide dismutas(SOD)in the observation group after treatment was higher than that in the control group, and the serum concentrations of interleukin-17(IL-17)were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of ambroxol combined with budesonide in the treatment of PN is better than that of budesonide monotherapy. At the same time, the combination regime can significantly improve the immune function of children, promote recovery, and reduce the short-term recurrence rate to a certain extent.
