Efficacy of azithromycin combined with Pulmicort Respules in the treatment of neonatal pneumonia
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Azithromycin Injections combined with Pulmicort Respules in treating neonatal pneumonia(NP).Methods A total of 140 children with NP were enrolled in this study, and randomly grouped into control group(n=70,symptomatic and supportive treatment with Azithromycin Injections)and study group(n=70,on the basis of the control group, combined with Pulmicort Respules aerosol inhalation therapy)using a random number table method. The clinical efficacy, myocardial enzyme spectrum, blood gas analysis indicators, inflammatory factor levels, and adverse reactions were compared between the 2 groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group(91.43%)was higher than that of the control group(78.57%),P<0.05.After treatment, the myocardial enzyme spectrum indexes[creatine kinase(CK)/creatine kinase isoenzymes-MB(CK-MB)/lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)],partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),and various inflammatory factors[nuclear transcription factor-κB(NF-κB)/procalcitonin(PCT)/interleukin-6(IL-6)]of the 2 groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05).The partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)was higher than before treatment(P<0.05),the myocardial enzyme spectrum indicators(CK,CK-MB,LDH),PaCO2,and various inflammatory factors(NF-κB,PCT,IL-6)in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and PaO2 was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 11.43%(8/70),and there was no statistically significant difference compared with the control group[5.71%(4/70)](χ²=1.458,P=0.227).Conclusion Azithromycin Injections combined with Pulmicort Respules aerosol inhalation therapy can effectively treat NP,improve myocardial enzyme spectrum, and regulate arterial blood gas, with high safety.
