Effect of Wuling Capsules on preventing and treating liver injury caused by psychotropic drugs and its impact on patients'sleep quality
Objective To explore the effect of Wuling Capsules on preventing and treating liver injury caused by psychotropic drugs and its impact on patients'sleep quality.Methods From January 2021 to December 2023,240 patients with depression caused by psychotropic drugs in our hospital were enrolled and divided into 2 groups with 120 cases in each according to random number table method.After 12 weeks of treatment,the main liver function indicators of the 2 groups were compared,including alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT),total bilirubin(TBiL),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score,and the incidence of adverse reactions.Results There was no difference in liver function indexes between the 2 groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of AST[(33.45±8.32)U·L-1],ALT[(35.45±5.35)U·L-1],GGT[(31.12±5.15)U·L-1],and TBiL[(6.44±2.53)μmol·L-1]in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,with significant differences between the 2 groups(P<0.05).The PSQI score of the observation group was better than that of the control group after treatment,and the difference between the 2 groups was significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 8.33%lower than that in the control group(26.67%),and the difference between groups was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Wuling Capsules can effectively prevent and treat liver damage caused by psychotropic drugs,and help to alleviate patients'symptoms of emotional depression,anxiety,and insomnia.The quality of life for patients is significantly enhanced,and the safety profile is favorable.
