Effect of Temperature and Freeze-thaw Cycles on Soil-water Characteristics Curve of Coastal Saline Soil
In order to explore the effects of environmental temperature and freeze-thaw cycles on the water retention characteristics of coastal saline soil, taking coastal saline soil in Huanghua area as the research object, the matric suction, osmotic suction and total suction soil-water characteristic curves of each sample under differ-ent environmental temperature and freeze-thaw cycles were measured by filter paper method, and the change laws of soil-water characteristic curves and water retention characteristics of saline soil under different factors were an-alyzed.The experimental results were fitted and analyzed by Van Genuchten(VG)model. The results show that with the increase of environmental temperature and the number of freeze-thaw cycles, the water retention perform-ance of the saline soil decreases. The influence of freeze-thaw cycles on the water retention characteristics de-creases with the increase of the number of freeze-thaw cycles. The VG model has a good fit for soil-water charac-teristic curve of coastal saline soil.According to the experimental results and fitting results,soil-water character-istic curve models were established respectively considering the environmental temperature and the number of freeze-thaw cycles, which can provide reference for engineering construction in coastal saline soil area.
