Research on a rail transit development strategy in Beijing municipality from the perspective of multiple circle layers——A comparative analysis of the Tokyo metropolitan area
In order to enhance support for the construction of rail transit in Beijing municipality during the new development stage,this article focuses on the rail transit networks in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Beijing municipality.Based on a multi-scale analysis and summary of the rail transit development experiences in the Tokyo metropolitan area,this article outlines the line network scale and service levels across five rail transit circle layers:within 8 km,8~15 km,15~30 km,30~50 km,and above 50 km,both in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Beijing municipality.The outcome of this analysis is then used to formulate relevant quantitative indicators.Through a comparative analysis of these indicators,this article summarizes the distinctions in the characteristics of rail transit in different circle layers in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Beijing municipality.Lastly,building upon these observations,this article proposes countermeasures and offers suggestions for the future development of rail transit in Beijing municipality.
