The construction of a modern tram network is a multifaceted endeavor.This article analyzes the current challenges hindering tram construction development in China,based on the actual development needs of cities.It emphasizes the importance of tram construction sequence from the aspects of optimizing line service functions,enhancing passenger flow support,improving public transportation service levels,and ensuring the sustainability of tram network development.In particular,the judicious selection of upcoming projects hinges upon their ability to address the immediate requirements of cities,integrate seamlessly with their economic and demographic dynamics,enhance public transportation services,and achieve maximum comprehensive benefits with minimal investment.Based on this,using the Lijiang tram as a case study,this article focuses on exploring the screening ideas for upcoming modern tram construction projects,and proposes a construction plan for the near future,so as to provide reference and guidance for the planning of new trams in similar cities across China.
