Research on shock absorption design method of the rubber supports applied to metro station structures
Drawing from the design methods and requirements related to rubber bearings in reference to building and bridge engineering, and considering the stress characteristics and earthquake response characteristics of underground structures,a set of shock absorption design method using rubber bearings for metro station structures is proposed.Meanwhile, taking an actual two-storey two-span metro station as the research subject,a non-linear full-time dynamic analysis model of soil to structure was constructed using the finite element method, and a refined subject model was adopted for rubber supports. Then, the earthquake response of the metro station structure with and without rubber supports was compared and analyzed based on this model. The research found that the damage degree, interlayer displacement, and internal force of the columns with rubber supports were significantly reduced, which indicated that the rubber support has a good shock absorption effect after rubber supports are installed on the end of the middle column, thereby validating the effectiveness of the proposed shock absorption design method of rubber supports applied to metro station structures.
