A qualitative analysis of the security vulnerability of urban rail transit communication networks based on Ethernet connections
With the rapid development of urban rail transit,Ethernet-based communication networks are being widely used due to their high-speed and reliable transmission characteristics. However, the security vulnerability of this critical infrastructure has also been highlighted, which poses a potential threat to the safe operations of urban rail transit systems. This article starts with an overview of the basic architecture of Ethernet-based urban rail transit communication networks and their security vulnerabilities in terms of practical applications, such as unauthorized access, data tampering, denial of service attacks, etc.Furthermore, through a qualitative analysis method, the causes of these vulnerabilities and their possible impacts on urban rail transit systems are discussed in an in-depth manner. On this basis, targeted improvement measures are proposed, including enhancing network access control, data encryption, abnormality detection, and response strategies,to improve the security of urban rail transit communication networks.Last but not least, this article summarizes the security challenges and future development directions of Ethernet-based urban rail transit communication networks, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive safety measures to ensure the stable operation of urban rail transit systems.
