Experimental study on the adaptability of locomotives and rolling stock under external system short circuits
In recent years,China's railway has developed rapidly, but the transient process between vehicle networks during external short circuits has not been studied, and the characteristics of the short-circuit impedance of the system are still unclear. To address these issues, based on the National Railway Test Center's circular test line, this article establishes a mathematical model of the overhead contact system short circuit to ground. It investigates the influence of the distance of the short circuit point on the short circuit current of the overhead contact system, and validates it through a semi-physical simulation model of the overhead contact system short circuit test based on the DDRTS simulation platform. This validation verifies the correctness of the parameter settings and action logic of the traction substation feeder protection unit.According to the research results, the adaptability test of locomotive and rolling stock under external short circuits is carried out in the loop test line of the National Railway Test Center. The results indicate that the large current during overhead contact system short circuits does not flow through the train instantaneously and the overhead contact system short circuit current does not adversely affect the train.
