Design and research on courier forwarding products for intercity railways
Intercity railways are an important component of the national railway network.Utilizing intercity railways to carry out courier forwarding services has become a beneficial way to improve the quality of logistics services and enhance the coordinated development of regional economies.This article analyzes the feasibility of using intercity railways to carry out courier forwarding business from the perspective the of development trends of the express delivery industry in Guangdong province and the resources of intercity railways to carry out courier forwarding business.Starting from the perspective of timeliness,the article designs three types of inter-city railway courier forwarding products based on the House of Quality(HOQ)and the KANO model:"anytime transfer","same-day transfer",and"next-morning transfer".To verify the adaptability of intercity railway courier forwarding products,the Guangzhou-Qingyuan intercity railway and the Guangzhou east ring intercity railway are selected as pilot lines for experimentation.The results indicate that utilizing the surplus capacity of intercity railways to carry out high value-added courier forwarding business is practical and feasible,and can assist the high-quality development of the logistics industry in Guangdong province.
