Reflections on the integrated development of intercity railway and urban region(suburban)railway in city groups along Changjiang River of Jiangsu Province
Promoting the network integration of intercity railway and urban region(suburban)railway is an important initiative to cope with the increasingly closer communications between the city groups as well as within metropolitan areas.In this regard,this article first clarified the connotations and differences of intercity railway and urban region(suburban)railway and took the city groups along Changjiang River of Jiangsu Province as the research object.Based on the summation of its development overview,this article classified the issues in the integrated development of intercity railway and urban region(suburban)railway in Jiangsu Province,such as the small scale of the network and the prominent shortcomings.On this basis,this article then puts forward the needs and objectives for the integrated development of intercity railway and urban region(suburban)railway in Jiangsu Province.Finally,this article clarifies the core connotations of integration,and explains the key points of integration from the aspects of network layout,operations&management,norms&standards,policy promotion,top-level design,organization&coordination,among others,so as to provide references for the integrated development of intercity railway and urban region(suburban)railway and subsequent line planning and construction in Jiangsu Province,supporting the high-quality,healthy,and sustainable development of city groups along the Changjiang River in Jiangsu Province.
