Research on key feature point extraction method for contact rail images based on dynamic threshold segmentation method
The good condition of the contact rail in the urban rail transit system is crucial for the safety of the traction power supply system.Once the geometric parameters of the contact rail exceed the normal scope,it not only affects the normal current collection of the collector shoes,it negatively affects the running of operating vehicles,even leading to major safety accidents in severe cases.The traditional method of measuring geometric parameters of contact rail usually faces the issues of a complex background and many interference images during image acquisition,which results in a small amount of detection data and low detection density,thus making it difficult to accurately extract the key feature information of the contact rail.Focusing on this issue,this article proposes a new method that combines the dynamic threshold segmentation method,straight line fitting and projection calculation to effectively solve the challenges in extracting the feature points of the contact rail and realize the accurate measurement of geometric parameters.This method can not only accurately capture the subtle changes of the contact rail,but also ensure the reliability and accuracy of the measurement results.To further improve the convenience and practicability of the measurements,a set of portable measurement devices of geometric parameters of the contact rail is developed as well and demonstrated in field applications on urban rail transit lines,providing powerful technical support for the monitoring of contact rail conditions in actual operations.
