Preparation and application of high viscosity fast curing thixotropic slurry for metro shield tunneling
To meet the waterproofing requirements for shield tunneling machine launching and ground settlement control during the excavation process at the train testing line project for the Ang'e depot of Shenzhen metro line 14,based on the viscosity change law of the slurry,a high viscosity waterproof thixotropic slurry was prepared by comparing and testing the different clay used in slurry and water glass hardeners.This slurry is mainly composed of bentonite,water glass,and water glass hardeners.The slurry production is optimized in terms of cost with a simple preparation process and is characterized with a low viscosity of the finished slurry in the early stage,which brings better grouting performance.As its age increases,the viscosity significantly increases,which better satisfies the waterproof requirements of the shield tunneling machine during the launching and excavation process.At the same time,due to its high load capacity,it's also suitable for settlement control and excavation alignment correction during the excavating process.Combined with conventional construction control measures,monitoring measurement and geological radar detection methods,it has been proven that the remarkable effect has been achieved by applying high viscosity thixotropic slurry in shield tunneling construction,especially in shield tunneling or jacking constructions with shallow cover and strict settlement restriction.
