Research on vehicle selection and train formation for urban region(suburban)railways
The current development of urban region(suburban)railways in China is facing problems, such as unclear technical standards, unclear construction models, and unsatisfactory operational effects, especially in terms of vehicle selection and train formation, which have not yet formed a standardized system. To solve these problems, this article analyzes the current development status and passenger flow of domestic urban region(suburban)railways, conducts in-depth research on vehicle selection and train marshaling, and proposes that vehicle selection for urban region(suburban)railway should be considered from multiple aspects, such as the maximum operating speed, passenger riding comfort, public transportation level, and interoperability needs.Train formation selection should consider the passenger flow amount, the maturity of vehicle technology and operating costs, choosing a"short formation, high density"system for train organization.Based on this,a case study of vehicle selection and train formation should be conducted on a certain urban region(suburban)railway line in the southeast coast to provide reference for similar projects.
