Research on the characteristics of commuting passenger flow of Hangzhou metro
To solve the issue of spatial imbalance between employment and residence in the city, this article carries out in-depth study of the spatio-temporal characteristics of urban rail transit passenger travel.Based on China Mobile's cell phone signaling data, the spatio-temporal characteristics of the spatial distribution of the employment-residence population and the metro commuting data in Hangzhou under the degree of employment-residence spatial matching is analyzed.During the study, the static characteristics rely on the three indices of job-residence balance, spatial mismatch and employment-residence deviation, which result in the consistency of the spatial distribution of Hangzhou's employed and residential populations, while the working population shows a more concentrated phenomenon comparing with the residential population, which reveals to a certain extent the spatial structural characteristics of the polycentricity of Hangzhou. The dynamic linkage relies on the travel characteristics of urban rail transit passengers in Hangzhou, including travel distance and travel time. The results show that urban rail transit has a significant advantage in long-distance commuting, while the commuting attraction range of urban rail transit is approximately 1 km,with walking as the major means of connection.Through the in-depth study of static characteristics and dynamic connections, preliminary conclusions on the reasonable degree of job and residential spatial matching as well as the spatial and temporal characteristics of metro commuting in Hangzhou are drawn, providing an important basis for future urban planning and transportation development.
