Study on design plans selection for entrance and exit lines of fully automated operation(FAO)vehicle depots in urban rail transit-Taking Cao'e vehicle depot of Shaoxing metro line 2 as an example
The design plan of the entrance and exit lines for urban rail transit vehicle depots has a significant impact on the investment and operation efficiency of engineering construction. The gradual application and promotion of fully automated operation technology in vehicle depots provide technical support for innovative design of entrance and exit lines. For this purpose, the article takes the Cao'e vehicle depot of Shaoxing metro line 2,which adopts fully automated operation technology,as an example.Based on analysis of factors that need to be considered in the design of the entrance and exit lines of the depot, two sets of entrance and exit line design plans are proposed, namely Plan 1(conventional plan for forward connection)and Plan 2(innovative plan for reverse connection),and with technical economic comparison; After determining that Plan 2 has significant advantages in engineering investment, feasibility, and the land development and utilization compared to Plan 1,a quantitative analysis was conducted on the train entrance and exit capacity of Plan 2 to verify whether it meets operation needs. The results showed that the train entrance and exit capacity of Plan 2 is 28.7 pair-trips per an hour, which meets the long-term peak demand of 28 pair-trips per an hour for line 2.Therefore,it is recommended to choose option two as the final implementation plan for the entrance and exit lines of Cao'e vehicle vehicle depot. We hope this may provide reference for similar engineering designs.
