With the rapid increase in global population and the acceleration of urbanization,the overseas market demand for urban rail transit products continues to grow,providing opportunities for China's urban rail transit products and relevant industries to"go global".This article focuses on the overseas urban rail transit construction projects carried out by China in the 10 years from the"Belt and Road"initiative was put forward,namely 2014 to 2023.Based on the statistics of the construction mileage of overseas urban rail transit projects undertaken by Chinese enterprises during such period,this article compares it with the data from 2007 to 2013 before the"Belt and Road"initiative was put forward,analyzes the market distribution principles,evolutionary characteristics and challenges faced by China's overseas urban rail transit,based on which the corresponding market development strategies from three aspects of market positioning and entry strategies,industrial chain extension and technology output is proposed,with a view to provide reference and an example to build on for China's urban rail transit enterprises to better explore overseas markets.
