Analysis of the impact on regional economic development by rail transit construction in the Chengdu-Chongqing city group
Rail transit can significantly improve the transportation efficiency inside of cities and achieve efficient resources allocation.With the continuous expansion of the rail transit network,the urbanization process along the line is accelerating in the areas,which helps to form new economic growth points and urban development regions,and promotes economic connections and cooperation between these regions.To study the impact of rail transit construction on regional economic development,we first rely on the example of rail transit construction in the Chengdu-Chongqing city group.Based on the impact analysis of the mechanism on regional economic development by the rail transit construction,we determine the corresponding research variables,select,collect,and organize the panel data from 143 districts and counties within the Chengdu-Chongqing city group from 2003 to 2022,and establish a mathematical model,for analyze these data above by using regression analysis method.The analysis results indicate that the construction of rail transit in the Chengdu-Chongqing city group has a significant promoting effect on regional economic development,and the areas where rail transit is opened have obvious spatial spillover effects on adjacent areas.Finally,based on the above analysis results,corresponding suggestions are proposed for the planning and construction of rail transit,in order to better utilize rail transit to promote regional economic development.
