Facts and Welfare of Chinese Household Digital Economy:Evidence from China Household Digital Economy Survey
To achieve inclusive and sustainable development of the digital economy,it is crucial to guarantee the equal access for households to engage digital activities extensively,in addition to accelerating business digitalization and improving governance capabilities.Utilizing the China Household Digital Economy Survey(CHDES)dataset from Renmin University of China,this paper illustrates the facts of household digital economy development in China from the micro-level.Furthermore,this research discusses the effects of digitalization on household welfare from the income,labor supply and consumption perspectives.The findings provide new evidence for a more accurate understanding of household decision-making and have policy implications for enhancing social welfare in the digital age.
