电力供给短缺、温度与劳动生产率

本文利用世界银行企业调查数据结合全球城市天气数据,考察了电力供给短缺、温度和企业生产率的关系.研究发现:第一,电力供给短缺会加剧温度升高对企业生产率的负向影响,即电力供给短缺具有负向加剧效应;第二,电力供给短缺的负向加剧效应在低生产率企业、高劳动密集型企业以及私营企业更强,这间接证明了加剧效应的背后机理与适应气候变化理论一致,为气候变化带来国家贫富差距拉大等典型事实给出了可能的微观解释.本文研究强调了能源消费中适应气候变化效应与全球变暖效应的矛盾,对气候适应与缓解的协调发展进行了深度思考.
Energy supply shortage,temperature and labor productivity
This paper investigates the relationship between power supply shortage,temperature and enterprise productivity by using the World Bank enterprise survey data from 2011 to 2020 and the global urban weather data.The research finds that:first,power supply shortage will aggravate the negative impact of temperature on enterprise productivity,that is,power supply shortage has a negative aggravating effect.Second,the negative aggravating effect of power supply shortage is stronger in low productivity enterprises,high labor-intensive enterprises and private enterprises,which indirectly proves that the underlying mechanism of the aggravating effect is consistent with the theory of adaptation to climate change,and provides a possible micro explanation for typical facts such as the widening gap between rich and poor countries caused by climate change.
