A Study of Impact of Environmental Regulation and Collaborative Industrial Agglomeration on Carbon Productivity——A Perspective Based on Spatial Spillovers
As an important way to realise the two-wheel drive strategy, industrial synergistic agglomeration will help China to achieve the"dual-carbon"goal and the green transformation of the economy through knowledge spillovers and economies of scale, together with environmental regulation. Therefore,by constructing a unified analytical framework for the impact of environmental regulation and industrial collaborative agglomeration on carbon productivity,we analyse the direct and indirect effects of environmental regulation and industrial collaborative agglomeration on carbon productivity from both empirical and theoretical levels. The results show that:environmental regulation not only helps to increase local carbon productivity, but also has a similar effect on the carbon productivity of neighbouring places;there is a significant"U-shaped"relationship between industrial synergistic clustering and local carbon productivity, which has a significant effect on the carbon productivity of the neighbouring places;moreover, the two can form a synergistic effect, which can promote the local carbon productivity increase together. In addition, they can form a synergistic effect and jointly promote the enhancement of local carbon productivity.
