Characterisation of Power Cable Insulation Assessment Capping Based on Water Tree Ageing
The study takes the power cable insulation aging assessment as the research purpose, and adopts the water tree aging experimental method to carry out the cable test.In the use of infrared imaging technology to obtain the cable surface temperature information, based on the extraction of the cable surface temperature distribution characteristics and water tree discharge characteristics, and through a comparative analysis of the water tree aging characteristics of different degrees of aging under the changes in the establishment of the power cable insulation assessment mapping. The results show that the cable surface temperature distribution shows inhomogeneity, and the water tree discharge characteristics are continuously enhanced when the aging degree is intensified. On this basis,a power cable insulation assessment method based on water tree aging is proposed, and it is concluded that the method can effectively assess the degree of power cable insulation aging, providing a reference basis for the operation and maintenance of the power system.
