A Study on the Impact of the Digital Economy on the Total Factor Productivity of Industrial Enterprises
Based on panel data from 31 provinces spanning from 2012 to 2021,this study investigates the impact of the digital economy on the total factor productivity of industrial enterprises.The research results indicate that the development of the digital economy significantly promotes the improvement of total factor productivity in industrial enterprises.Moreover,this conclusion remains robust after changing variables and econometric methods,demonstrating the reliability of the findings.Further research reveals regional disparities in the impact of the digital economy on industrial total factor productivity,with the western region having the greatest influence,followed by the central region,and the eastern region experiencing the least impact Therefore,efforts should be made to accelerate the development of the digital economy,leveraging its potential to drive the transformation and upgrading of industrial enterprises.
