Study on the Coupling and Coordination of Ecological Welfare Performance and Green Innovation Efficiency of Industrial Enterprises in the Yellow River Basin
This study employed the super-efficiency DEA model and coupling coordination degree model to investigate the coupling coordination between ecological welfare performance and green innovation efficiency of industrial enterprises in the Yellow River Basin from 2010 to 2020.The results revealed an overall upward trend in both performances, with green innovation efficiency significantly outpacing ecological welfare performance.Significant differences in performance across provinces were observed, with some experiencing continuous declines in ecological welfare. The coupling coordination degree generally declined, with significant fluctuations in Gansu and relative stability in Qinghai.Ecological welfare performance lagged behind green innovation efficiency, exhibiting a rising trend of incongruity.Western provinces exhibited relatively higher coupling coordination levels, while those in central and eastern regions were lower.Consequently, policy guidance is recommended to promote coordinated development of both systems, thereby achieving sustainable development in the Yellow River Basin.
