Intrinsic Mechanism of Industrial Eco-Efficiency Improvement Guided by Carbon Neutral Targets——Analysis Based on csQCA Methodology
Under the guidance of carbon neutrality target,the greening of industry is crucial,and the enhancement of industrial eco-efficiency has a certain role in promoting the green development of industry,while the research perspective of the intrinsic mechanism of industrial eco-efficiency enhancement may have an important gap:the synergistic effect between multiple variables has not been taken into account,so the research thinking needs to shift from the"variable"to the"group".Therefore,research thinking needs to shift from"variables"to"groupings",which provides a new way of thinking to explain the causal relationship between multiple variables of industrial eco-efficiency.Based on the available data,we take the industrial eco-efficiency of 30 provincial administrative regions as the outcome variable,and adopt qualitative comparative analyses on the three dimensions of environment,structure and technology to investigate the causes and effects of industrial eco-efficiency improvement.The analysis method is used to analyse the intrinsic mechanism of industrial eco-efficiency improvement,and it is found that the grouping of industrial eco-efficiency improvement is in the form of four types,namely,foreign investment-led mode,government-led mode,technology-led mode,and economy-driven mode,respectively.The results of the study provide lessons and references for the transformation of China's industrial green development.
