A Study of the Impact of Digital Transformation on the New Quality Productivity of Firms
This paper takes Chinese A-share listed companies in the manufacturing industry from 2011 to 2022 as the research object,and examines its impact on the new quality productivity of enterprises and its internal mechanism from the perspective of digital transformation.The results show that digital transformation empowers firms to improve their new productivity;the mechanism test finds that digital transformation improves the level of firms'new productivity by alleviating financing constraints and optimising the structure of human capital;and the results of the heterogeneity analysis show that digital transformation significantly promotes the new productivity of firms in both the eastern and the central regions,while inhibiting the new productivity of firms in the western region.The results of the study not only enrich the research on the influencing factors of the new productivity of enterprises,but also provide a reference for local governments to formulate differentiated digital policies.
