Influence of Finishing Process Parameters on the Surface Roughness of Aircraft Vertical and Horizontal Tail Intersection Holes
Intersection holes are a kind of key connection holes in aircraft assembly, and their precision and quality directly affect the service life and flight safety of aircraft. In order to characterise the surface roughness of the intersection holes, the influence of boring speed, feed and depth of cut on the surface roughness of the holes is analysed.Firstly,8 groups of different parameter combinations of the intersection hole finishing were carried out,and the surface roughness of the intersection hole was actually measured, then the empirical formula of the surface roughness of the intersection hole was determined by the method of least squares, and finally the influence of each process parameter on the surface roughness was analysed. The test results show that the surface roughness is negatively correlated with the boring speed and positively correlated with the feed and depth of cut.In order to reduce the surface roughness of intersection holes,we can start from increasing the boring speed, reducing the feed and depth of cut.
