Spatial Configuration and Convergence Estimation of Basic Education Resources in Shanghai
To explore the spatial correlations and convergence characteristics of basic education resource allocation in 13 ur-ban districts of Shanghai from 2005 to 2021,this study employed the entropy weight method to construct a basic education re-source index. It used spatial descriptive analysis to depict the spatio-temporal evolution and spatial clustering features of basic education resources in Shanghai. It also established a spatial panel model to evaluate its convergence and examine the impact of district heterogeneity and urban development related policies. The study has got the following research findings:(1)the level of basic education resource allocation in Shanghai has significantly increased and converged, with a certain degree of spatial correla-tion and clustering among urban districts;(2)the Yangtze River Delta integration strategy has been conducive to promoting equal-ization of basic education resource allocation among different urban districts in Shanghai, but the construction of"Five New Towns"did not contribute significantly to the convergence of basic education resource allocation in Shanghai in the short run;(3)urban rail transit construction can facilitate spatial convergence in secondary education resource allocation, but it does not have a significant impact on primary education resource allocation.
