The professional development of skilled teachers tends to stagnate because of quite a few real challenges.Their professional development faces three main challenges:schools do not provide skilled teachers with enough support;they lack moti-vation for further development;and they do not have strong awareness to respond to educational reforms.Combining theoretical re-search and the actual situation of the school,Shanghai Pengpu No.4 Middle School has explored and implemented the path of en-couraging the professional development of skilled teachers with personalized support.It includes inspiring the driving force for de-velopment,thus helping personal growth,improving professional development logic for development effectiveness,optimizing the environment to stimulate skilled teachers'motivation for professional development,providing skilled teachers with personalized support for their personal growth,and improving their development effectiveness through scientific evaluation.
