Research on the Content of National Security Education in Junior High School Geography Textbooks
Having adopted the content analysis method,this paper has made a statistical analysis of the content of national se-curity education in junior high school geography textbooks of the People's Education Edition.The findings show that:on the whole,among the four textbooks,the textbook of Grade 8 involves the most content of national security education,and there exist some differences in the content areas of national security in each textbook.In terms of content selection,there is a main focus on six content areas of national security;in terms of content organization,it follows the unity of subject logic and psychological logic;and in terms of content presentation,it pays attention to the design of image system and activity system.Therefore,when using textbooks,teachers should attach importance to the value of Chinese geography content in the cultivation of national security litera-cy;they should clarify the compiling objectives of national security education content in junior high school geography textbooks;they should flexibly select the content of national security education in the textbooks and carry out the secondary development to transform the textbook compilation logic of national security education content into teaching,and they should implement national security education in combination with the characteristics of image system and activity system.
