Sculpting Art Education and Cultivation of Creativity of Middle School Students
The adolescent stage is the golden period for creative thinking,and sculpture learning can provide the most direct carrier for the cultivation of creativity because of its unique spatial skills training.Nevertheless,at present,the sculpture classes in junior middle schools tend to seemingly attract the students from"making sculptures"only,but they ignore the essence of"cre-ation",which sculpture,as a form of art,naturally covers,thus resulting in an embarrassing situation where the teaching materials are almost useless,the teachers are not interested in using them,and the students are not interested in learning.The key to solving such problems lies in the cultivation of students'perceptive powers,good memory and associative abilities in order to improve their creativity at last based on the age and psychological characteristics of teenagers in junior middle schools,with the cognition and control of"large space"in the art of sculpture as the goal and through the project learning of"meaningful form".
