The Research Ability of Primary and Secondary School Teachers and Its Influencing Factors—Based on the Investigation and Analysis of 24 Schools in J District of Shanghai
This study focuses on the research ability of primary and secondary school teachers,taking 24 schools in one of the districts of Shanghai as samples,and conducts questionnaire design and investigation from five dimensions:teachers're-search beliefs and attitudes,research cognition and understanding,research ability and methods,research effectiveness and re-sults,research support and guarantee.It has found that teachers in this district generally agree with the value of education re-search,and can fully understand the various abilities contained in research ability,but their sense of self-efficacy is insufficient.The quality of program design and output needs to be improved.And there also exist the problems that"more emphasis on case study,literature research and investigation research than experimental research and action research."At the same time,this study has also found that many factors influencing teachers'research ability,such as academic stages,educational background,and professional titles.Based on that,several suggestions are put forward to strengthen teacher research and training,to promote the transformation of achievements,to optimize the research environment,and to improve the evaluation system.
