What Do These Rural Teachers Rely on to Win the Social Recognition—A Qualitative Study Based on the Report of Good Rural Teachers from Jingchu
Identity recognition is the core issue in the development of rural teachers at present.The existing research has fo-cused on the self-identity of rural teachers,ignoring social recognition,especially lacking the researches on what kind of rural teachers are more likely to gain social recognition.Grounded theory analysis of reports on the"Good Rural Teachers from Jing-chu"revealed some shared traits,including the emotional trait of educational love and the behavioral traits of home-school com-munication,integration of educational content,and adaptive education.These inspire us to cultivate rural teachers'deep educa-tional love based on social empathy literacy;strengthen home-school communication and collaborative practices based on the con-cept of home-school co-education;guide rural teachers to optimize educational content aimed at the comprehensive development of rural students;and cultivate high-quality,professional rural teachers with adaptive expertise as the core competency.
