On the Difficulties and Capabilities of Piano Teachers'Professional Develop-ment in the Context of the Integration of Five Domains of Education
Piano teachers'professional development is a process of systematic improvement of teachers'spirit,knowledge and ability.It is not only a way to enhance piano teachers'professional happiness,and an inherent need for high-quality develop-ment of schools,but also an important path to improve students'artistic competence and their comprehensive development at the level of basic education.At present,from the perspective of the supply of piano teachers,there exist such dilemmas and challeng-es in piano teachers'professional development in China as an imperfect teacher training system,a lack of professional develop-ment system,and a lack of teachers'intrinsic motivation.From the perspective of the needs of the society,piano teaching has al-ways been a hot demand for quality education,but there are also such problems as a lack of piano learning at school and a lack of order in private piano education.Based on the practical experience of teachers'professional development in the United States,the United Kingdom and Singapore,this paper suggests improving the institutional mechanism of teacher training and building the support system for piano teachers'professional development in order to successfully combine the"supply of piano teachers"from the teacher-training universities with"the demand"of piano learning from the society.
