Hidden and Variable Subject-based Tutoring in the Context of"Double Reduction":Phenomenon,Causes and Governance
Since the implementation of the"Double Reduction"policy, the phenomenon of hidden and variable subject-based tutoring has emerged frequently, causing numerous negative impacts on students, school education, and society. The rea-sons behind this phenomenon include parents being dominated by educational anxiety, conflicts arising during the transition of educational evaluation paradigms, the survival pressures of unemployed teachers in tutoring institutions, and the governance chal-lenges posed by the"hidden and variable"nature of such tutoring. In order to effectively govern subject-based hidden and vari-able tutoring,it is necessary to establish a correct concept of education, alleviate parental educational anxiety, vigorously advo-cate the concept of new educational evaluation to resolve the conflict during the paradigm transition, enhance the quality of train-ing for unemployed teachers to improve their reemployment capabilities and build a governance mechanism of"prevention-detection-punishment"to effectively address the issue of"hidden and variable"tutoring.
