The Impact of Cyberbullying on High School Students'Negative Emotions and Academic Burnout in:The Moderated Mediating Effect of Physical Ex-ercise Involvement
Based on a sample of 1,258 high school students in the Yangtze River Delta region,this study uses a structural equation model to analyze the impact of cyberbullying on high school students'negative emotions and academic burnout,and the moderated mediating effect of physical exercise involvement.The results show that cyberbullying positively affects students'nega-tive emotions,and their emotional exhaustion and deindividuation dimensions of academic burnout,and negatively affects learn-ing efficacy;negative emotions also positively affects students'emotional exhaustion and deindividuation dimensions,and and negatively affect learning efficacy.with higher negative emotions leading to more severe academic burnout in students;physical exercise involvement can moderate and lessen the impact of cyberbullying on students'negative emotions and academic burnout.To reduce students'negative emotions because of cyberbullying and promote their academic progress,this study suggests anti-cyberbullying education,encouraging physical exercise involvement,and developing physical exercise habits.
