On the basis of summarizing the development and current situation of smart expressways in China,and aiming at the construction goals and construction needs of smart expressways in the era of"new infrastructure",the overall direction of the expansion and intelligent construction of the Taicang to Changzhou section of the Shanghai-Wuhan Expressway is clarified,and the overall framework of"five layers and three systems"is proposed,and six key areas are discussed,which provides solutions and ideas for the expansion of smart empowerment along the Yangtze River Expressway.
