In order to meet the increasing traffic demand of the people,it is necessary to widen and rebuild the existing expre-ssway.Compared with renovating roads,widening the old road can make full use of the original roadbed,shorten the construc-tion cycle and reduce the occupation of construction land.This paper expounds the characteristics influencing factors and cal-culation difficulties of the cost of express reconstruction and extension project,puts forward corresponding measures for the cost compilation,and analyzes the expansion project of the Shanghai-Wuhan Expressway,so as to provide a reference for similar projects.
