The Challenges and Acquisition Strategies of"Legitimacy"of Vocational and Technical Universities in China from the Perspective of Organizational Legitimacy Theory
Vocational and technical universities in China are still in the initial stage of develop-ment,facing the challenges of"legitimacy"called by the new institutionalism theory of organization-al sociology,which is mainly manifested in the challenges of regulatory legitimacy,normative legiti-macy and cultural-cognitive legitimacy.The construction of the"legitimacy"of vocational and tech-nical universities should be started from three aspects:firstly,we should pay special attention to and enhance the normative legitimacy,strengthen the institutional supply and lay the institutional founda-tion for them;secondly,we should pay attention to maneuverability and enhance the regulatory legiti-macy by refining specific policies and providing them with regulatory protection;and thirdly,it is necessary to improve their social identity and enhance the cultural-cognitive legitimacy,vigorously publicize and guide,and create an environmental atmosphere for them.
