The Connotation Development,Characteristics and Implications of the Quality Concept of Childcare Services from an International Perspective
Accelerating the high-quality construction of childcare services is an important guar-antee for promoting the realization of qualified education for children.The concept of childcare ser-vice quality has a profound impact on the quality of childcare services.By deeply analyzing the con-notation development and characteristics of the quality concept of childcare services from an interna-tional perspective,we aim to provide suggestions for the construction path of childcare service quali-ty in China.Research has shown that the quality of childcare services from an international perspec-tive has formed and highlighted three forms:childcare service quality concept of the technical ratio-nalism that pursues universal standards,childcare service quality concept of the meaning generativ-ism that emphasizes value rationality,and childcare service quality concept of the harmonious con-struction that integrates technological rationality and meaning generation.The quality concept of childcare services from an international perspective presents distinct development characteristics:emphasizing that stakeholders reach consensus through negotiation and expression;adhering to the close integration of upbringing and education in daily upbringing;on the basis of focusing on struc-tural quality,paying more attention to process quality;emphasizing the cooperation and co-cultiva-tion of family,childcare,and community;quality evaluation of childcare services that pursue cultural responsiveness.The development of the quality concept of childcare care services from an interna-tional perspective has important implications:focusing on multiple value demands,establishing com-munication and dialogue mechanisms;adhering to the principle of combining education and upbring-ing to cultivate healthy and happy children;satisfying basic structural quality and emphasizing the quality of childcare processes;encouraging the participation of families,childcare institutions,and communities to build a harmonious cooperative community;based on the social and cultural back-ground,constructing an appropriate evaluation system of the quality of childcare.
