Aims,Dilemmas and Paths of Higher Education Internationalization from the Perspective of the Chinese-style Modernization
Higher education internationalization is an essential component of the path toward Chinese-style modernization.This includes the modernization of concepts,systems,technologies and discourse related to higher education internationalization.In the context of Chinese-style moderniza-tion,the specific aims of higher education internationalization include the modernization of interna-tionalization concepts guided by the idea of a community with a shared future for humanity,the modernization of internationalization systems that adhere to the advantages of top-level government planing,the modernization of internationalization technologies driven by digital transformation,and the modernization of internationalization discourse characterized by the pursuit of equality,diversity,cooperation,and mutual benefit.However,in the process of achieving these goals,higher education internationalization in China faces various challenges,which could be investigated from its conceptu-al connotation and construction,system operation and guarantees,technological resources and appli-cation,and discourse generation and dissemination.Therefore,to overcome the latecomer's disad-vantages and to advance the vision of Chinese-style modernization,China's higher education interna-tionalization needs to clarify value positioning,strengthen top-level design,enhance digital empower-ment,and pay attention to talents nurturing.
