The ocean constitutes an integral component of the Earth's ecosystem,and its preservation alongside sustainable exploitation is pivotal in attaining the objective of carbon neutrality.To foster comprehensive socio-economic advancement,marine higher education must evolve in tandem with contemporary trends.Based on data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and the Web of Science(WOS)core databas-es,and utilizing the VOS viewer tool for literature visualization analysis,significant advancements have been i-dentified in China's marine higher education.These advancements are closely aligned with fulfilling the de-mands of economic development,advancing marine scientific research,and cultivating talent in marine man-agement.However,there remains a need to fortify discipline construction and enhance the balance of disci-pline layout.Furthermore,based on the current talent training mechanism,it is imperative to strengthen col-laboration between industry,universities,and research institutions,thereby enhancing the practical applica-tion capabilities of talents.Additionally,there should be a closer alignment of marine higher education with regional economies to effectively support the attainment of carbon neutrality goals.
